Father Knows Best
“Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” 1 Peter 4:19, NKJV
There was a very popular TV show that ran from 1954 to 1960. In the show, the father’s name was Jim and Jim’s character was that of a thoughtful father who offered sage advice whenever one of his children had a problem. Of course, his advice was always right.
The scripture for today reminded me of that show in that in our trials and suffering, God always knows best.
God is a God who can always be trusted to do the right thing when it comes to our lives even if that means that we face trials, sufferings, or even tragedies.
The Lord is indeed “a faithful Creator” who made us. Therefore we can and should trust Him fully as the only one who is able to care for all our needs.
Our final attitude in facing trials and sufferings is that of trusting God not only with the trial but also with the outcome of the trial.
Be encouraged today in knowing that God knows what He is doing and He will always do the right thing concerning your life. It may not be what you would have done and it may be that you don’t even agree with His decision but it will always be the right thing in the end.
Our Heavenly Father does know best.
