How To Stay Strong

“……In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15, NKJV.

Are you too busy for God? Are you too busy for a prayer time with God? Are you too busy to read the Bible? Are you too busy to have a quiet time for just you and the Lord? Are you too busy to turn your cell phone off to do these things? If the answer is yes, you may be too busy for your own good.

The modern day world is much like the merry go round in the children’s playground. As it goes faster and faster, it is almost impossible to get off without being hurt. Sometimes our world is spinning too fast for us to have a close relationship with God.

As our world goes faster and faster and we have less and less time for God, we will eventually burn out spiritually. It is difficult if not impossible to regain any strength while we are still on the merry go round in the playground.

What are we to do to maintain our strength for daily living?

Our scripture for today tells us that we shall find strength and confidence in the quietness, not in the busyness of our life.

Just as you schedule your work day; you must also schedule your quite time and Bible time with the Lord day by day.

That is good advice for us in this hectic world of today. Find a quiet time and quiet place where you can regain your confidence and strength in the Lord.
