Guard Your Faith
“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:24, NKJV
Why do we doubt God or His Word? We call ourselves a believer but then we doubt. Has the devil influenced us causing us to doubt the faithfulness of God or the truth in His Word?
Our verse for today reveals to us a concerned father crying out to the Lord, “I believe, help my unbelief.”
There is a danger to our doubting. Doubt freezes our faith and confidence in God and it makes it difficult to have peace about the situation that we are dealing with.
We must overcome our doubt and we do that by removing that which is causing the doubt to become evident in our minds. That is usually some outside influence that is contrary to our previous beliefs.
Guard your faith and don’t let doubt rule in your hearts and mind. Remove that which brings doubt in and let faith have its proper place in your heart and mind.
Never doubt the plans of God for your life or the power of God to bring those plans to a reality for you.
