You’ve Got A Friend In God
“And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.” James 2:23, NKJV.
Unquestionably the highest privilege granted to man on this earth is to be the friend of God. Nothing should be so important than as to stand in the way of our relationship to God. We should see to it that nothing on earth shall separate us from God’s friendship!
Our scripture for today tells us that Abraham believed and was then considered the friend of God.
We cherish all our friends. If you have friends, you are indeed blessed. If you are a friend of God; how much more blessed are you?
You can call God your friend. Can God call you His friend?
We can count on our friends to help us through the difficult times in our life and usually when those difficult times come, one of our first phone calls will be to one of our friends.
And so it is with God, the best friend we could ever have comes to us and stands at our side as we go through the difficult times of our life. He will not leave us nor forsake us but will stand by us, as our friend, to help us in our time of need.
Be encouraged today in knowing that you have friends that you can call on in time of need. Be encouraged today in knowing that God is your friend and you can call on Him in your time of need as well.
