Prepare For The Coming Storm
“And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:25, NKJV
People are often unprepared for life’s unexpected troubles. Preparation is the key for survival if you happen to be in the path of a tornado or hurricane.
Our scripture for today reminds us of the importance of having our lives built on a solid foundation as preparation for the storms of life as they will most surely come into our lives.
That foundation is Jesus Christ and His Holy Word we call the Bible. Salvation is found only in Christ and His Word can be a light unto our path and if properly heeded to, can protect us from having the storms of our life devastate us.
Be encouraged today in knowing that all your study of the scriptures, your praying, your and church attendance, prepares you for the storms that will come into your life.
When the storm sirens sound of a coming storm, those who can hear the siren know to prepare themselves for the storm.
The logic and the good sense that the Lord gave us tells us we should prepare ourselves for the storms of life. The Bible, prayer and church attendance can help us be prepared for such storms.
