Pray For Someone Else Today
“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Colossians 1:9, NKJV
We are encouraged to pray for others. The encouragement to pray for others comes from God’s Word itself, while we are also encouraged to pray for others when we attend a Bible study class or when we attend our church. Friends often ask us to pray for them during a certain situation in their life.
Prayer is one of the greatest gifts you can give another person. When you approach the throne of God on behalf of another, you are doing exactly what Jesus has done for you.
You don’t always need to know what the other person is going through in order to pray for them. God will know what the greatest need of that person will be.
Our scripture for today tells us to pray for others to have wisdom and spiritual understanding. That is always a good prayer that we can pray for anyone.
Someone needs a prayer today. Someone that you know needs a prayer today. You may not know a specific name or a specific need but you can still pray and ask God to apply that prayer to the person and to the need.
It is always a blessing to see the Holy Spirit use and direct us in this fashion.
