God May Not Do It Our Way
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9, NKJV
When it comes to our health and to the diagnosis by a doctor of our health, we are encouraged to get a second opinion. It is good to hear from another professional to be sure that we take the right actions when it comes to our health.
Our scripture for today reminds us of the fact that God’s ways are higher than our ways. That simply means that God’s ways are better than our ways.
So, when you have made a decision about something in your life, before you move forward with that decision, get a second opinion from God. Find out what He thinks. He cares about the decision you are making. He sees and knows your future and you don’t.
It doesn’t take long to talk to God about it. He’s waiting to hear from you. He already knows what you are thinking and what you are trying to decide. He may tell you, “that’s not a good idea”. He may tell you, “why don’t you wait for a while?” He may tell you, “Go ahead, you have my blessing”.
Whatever He might tell you will be for you good, your long term good. Ask Him His opinion and then LISTEN! When you hear from Him, make your decision based on what you hear from Him. You won’t regret getting a second opinion.
