You Are Not Alone
“For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, “Do not be afraid, Paul”…………”; Acts 27:23-24, NKJV
In our scripture for today, Paul tells us that he had “an angel of God in waiting” on this particular night. The angel told Paul to not be afraid in what he was facing. This story in Acts is when Paul was on a ship and the ship encountered a great storm and all on the ship feared for their life.
The angel was standing by Paul, actually on the ship with him, encouraging Paul with not only his words, but also his presence. When everyone else on the ship found no hope for survival, Paul was assured that not one life would be lost, but only the ship.
Paul found peace during the storm with his “angel in waiting” at his side.
If you are a Christian, you are promised an angel as well. “Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.” Hebrews 1:14, NLT.
Let this be an encouragement to you today as you find yourself sinking in your storms, whatever they might be. You have an “angel in waiting”, waiting to help you through and completely out of the storm. Let him take your hand and guide you to the other side of the storm.
