When Faith Grows
“that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:7, NKJV
The more our faith is tested in this life, the more precious it becomes to us.
When does our faith grow the most? Is it when life is easy and without any problems or is it when we are tossed about by problems every day? I suggest to you that our faith grows stronger and deeper every time a storm blows into our life.
Only intense heat purifies gold. What is left after the intense heat is the highest quality of gold. So it is with our faith. Pressure and trials actually purifies our faith. From the trials and troubles that we face, comes the highest quality faith.
The scripture for today reminds us that our faith will be tested and the verse also reminds us that when our faith is tested it becomes more precious than gold.
Be encouraged today in knowing that every time your faith is tested by some trial, your faith will become more precious to you. Every time a new trial tests your faith, that same faith becomes stronger and stronger and more precious to you.
