These Things I Know
I Know My Rock Is In The Storm With Me
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in who I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised…” Psalm 18:1-3, NKJV
The storms of life can shake us right down to our very foundation. The storms of life can shatter our hearts into pieces. The storms of life can take our very breath away. The storms of life can alter our lives forever.
These storms of life can be a financial crisis, a physical crisis, the death of a loved one, a weather disaster, or many other things that disrupt the natural flow of our life.
In these storms, we need a firm foundation that will not be shaken in the midst of the storm. A firm foundation that we can cling to when the storm is raging around us and in our life.
That firm foundation is described in the scripture I have selected for this morning. That firm foundation is a rock and that rock is the Lord. He is our rock and our fortress and our deliverer when these storms rage into our life disrupting every thing in sight and stealing everything that we hold precious.
Be encouraged today, in knowing that in your storm there is a rock that you can cling to while the storm is raging. The storm may continue to rage for a while but the rock will always be there for you to hold onto. “I know my rock is in the storm with me”.
