Mercy and Grace Can Be Found In Jesus Christ

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16, NKJV.

We are living in the strangest of times. A time where doubt and fear are being multiplied into the hearts of God’s people by our adversary, satan. It is in these times that he spreads his lies and deceit in an attempt to get our eyes off God.

Fear is already on the rise considering the upcoming elections. Wars and rumors of wars continue in our world today. Our fear and doubt can be replaced with mercy and grace.

Mercy and grace are two words that we read a lot about in the Bible. The definition of mercy is: “a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion”. The definition of grace, that we often use, is: “the unmerited favor of God”.

This is what we stand in need of most right now; mercy and grace. Where is mercy and grace most easily found?

Our scripture for today reminds us that mercy and grace can be found at the throne of God. This scripture also tells us that He can sympathize with our weaknesses. Because of that promise, we can now go boldly to the throne of God and pray for His mercy and His grace and He will provide those two things to us abundantly.

Be encouraged today, in knowing that you are but one prayer away from receiving mercy and grace from a God that loves you and cares about what you are going through. Thankfully, this message can apply to our nation, our churches and our personal lives.

I know where mercy and grace abide!

With Blessings,
