“God Still Answers”

“Blessed be the Lord, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted Him and I am helped; Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices and with my song I will praise Him.” Psalm 28:6-7, NKJV.

I have often thought how people make it through great loss and great tragedies without the help of prayer, God, family and a church family.

I’m reminded of that even more as we see the results of this pandemic on our nation and around the world. There is so much bad news related to this situation when you consider the health crisis, the financial crisis, the emotional stress, the loss of income, jobs and financial security that is mounting daily. Not to mention the added grief of personal isolation.

People are unable to go about their daily routine of interaction with friends and family. Families cannot gather for traditional funerals in order to have the most basic of encouragement and support from each other. No telling how many weddings have been postponed. Churches that thrive on interaction and fellowship along with cooperate worship cannot meet for fear of either infecting others are being infected.

People without God or prayer or church are in this pandemic virtually alone. How sad.

Our scripture for today reminds us that God, the supreme architect of the universe is there for us. He was not surprised by this pandemic as the rest of the world was. He is there to help us and listen to us as we seek His help, His guidance, His support and His wisdom through all of this.

Be encouraged today, in knowing that God is there; God has heard and continues to hear your prayers and will answer those prayers in His timing and in His way. He is our strength in our time of weakness. Lean on Him today and trust Him today.

I Know God Hears Our Prayers.

With Blessings,

Bro. Riley
