Walking By Faith
“…as it is written, “the just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17, NKJV.
I have heard it said, “we are in uncharted waters.” That is such a true statement. Those words actually mean, “we have never been here before.” Again, so true! Our nation is currently going through things that it has never had to go through before. Even our leaders are in “uncharted waters” as they try to lead this nation through the coronavirus and the impending financial crisis.
Others are in these “uncharted waters” for different reasons. Currently, our family is in “uncharted waters” as we try to maneuver through immense personal grief. Other families are going through these same waters; being in a place they have never been before.
The reasons people find themselves in these waters are vastly different. But we all have one thing in common; we can only get through these waters by faith.
Our scripture for today reminds us of this basic truth; “we shall walk by faith.” It will not be by sight or by feelings but by faith.
We have never been here before but God has been here before. In fact, He was here waiting on us. In His infinite wisdom, God knew we would be coming this way so He has been here waiting on us to help us get through these “uncharted waters.”
So, we walk by faith, not alone, but by faith with God at our side. It is not easy but it is possible with our faith and with our God at our side.
Be encouraged today, in knowing that your faith will bring you through these “uncharted waters” safely to the other side. May God bless you as you walk by faith.
