Look For This First
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33, NKJV
What is your greatest need today? Would it be a new house, a new car, a new job, a mate, a friend, more money?
What if you got every one of these things before this day was over? What if you got that new house, what if you got that new car, what if you got that new job, what if you came into a huge inheritance? Would you have any more needs?
If you got all those things today, would that give you everything you need? If you did get all these things, there is still one thing that you would need. You would still need Jesus Christ.
It’s really all about priorities. Christ never said it was wrong to have things or to want things; He just said “seek me first, and all these things will be added to you.”
Be encouraged today in knowing that if you have Christ, you are already the richest person on the planet. You see, all these “things” will not last. They will only wear out and then their enjoyment will be gone.
Only Christ will last long after these “things” will be gone. Our greatest need is not wealth. It has been, it is and it will always be Jesus Christ.
