The Clay And The Potter
“…Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!” Jeremiah 18:6, NKJV
We are the clay and God is the potter! That is the overall lesson from Jeremiah chapter 18, verse 6; but there is so much to learn from this lesson of the potter’s hand and the clay.
First, we as the clay are in His hands and in His hands is where He molds us and fashions us into the vessel that He wants to us to bring Glory to Himself.
Second, God is the potter’s hands and as the potter’s hands He has a plan for the clay; a certain design that He wants to create with a specific purpose in His mind.
And third, as He finds flaws in the clay, He works to remove the flaws. He never throws the clay away but only works to remove the flaws from the clay.
Be encouraged today in knowing that God is working in your life every day through the good times and the hard times to fashion you into the perfect vessel for His glory and for His purpose.
