Be A Barnabas!
“And they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord.” Acts 11:22-23, NKJV
Someone needs you today. Someone needs you to encourage them today. Can you be a Barnabas in someone’s life today?
Our scripture for today talks about Barnabas whose name means, “Encourager”. He was sent to Antioch to encourage the Christians to not give up and that they should continue on with the Lord.
Everyone needs encouraging from time to time. No one is an island all to themselves. Even the most confident person needs to be encouraged.
Today, the Lord may put someone in your path that needs to be encouraged. You may not know the details and really you don’t need to know any details. They may be ready to give up but you might be the one that God sends to them with a word of encouragement.
Be encouraged today in knowing that God can use in the lives of other people. Be a Barnabas today. There are many people that need encouraging. Just listen and I know you will find them.
