The Proof Is In The Pudding

“that the genuineness of your faith…………..may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,……” 1 Peter 1:7, NKJV

The Proof Is In The Pudding is a shortened version of an old 14th century proverb that actually says; “The proof of the pudding is in the eating”.

The meaning of the old proverb is that you really don’t know how good the pudding is until you actually eat it.

Our scripture for today tells us that the proof of our faith will be seen in the fact that our faith will give praise, honor, and glory to Jesus Christ.

In referring to the genuineness of our Christianity, Jesus said, “You shall know them by their fruits”.

Here in this verse, Peter is telling us the same thing; the proof of real faith will be seen in who we point people to; do we point people to Jesus by are praise, honor, and glory that we give to our Savior?

Today, we have many reasons to give the Lord praise, honor, and glory. Look around your life and count you many blessings and give Him the praise that is due Him for all those blessings.

The proof of your faith will be the praise you give Him even if it’s difficult because of the struggles you have in your life.
