It’s Just A Local Call
“For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers.” 1 Peter 3:12, NKJV
With cell phones, unlimited talk and nation-wide coverage, we have almost done away with long-distance calls.
Our scripture for today reminds us that God’s ears are always open to the prayers of His children. It’s a local call. No long-distance charges are applied when calling on God.
And, the line is never busy and there is never a wait time. I called an insurance company the other day and the recording told me there would be a 17 minute wait. Needless to say, I’m still waiting because I hung up.
That never happens when we call on God. We can call out to Him any time and from anywhere and He is there. That is prayer.
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have as a Christian and may be the least used.
Be encouraged today in knowing that God is waiting on you to call out to Him with any concern you may have. No matter how small, God still cares and will listen. No matter how big, God is able. Call out to Him. He is there.
