Be Sure Your Priorities Are Right
“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26, NKJV
One day, our life will pause and we will look back at all of our activity and will ask our self; “Was it worth it? We will think of all we gave up to have this thing or to have this thing and we will wonder if it was really worth it.
Sometimes we spend so much time chasing the things in life that we sacrifice the things of life that are really more important.
We sacrifice such things as time with the kids and family, time relaxing, time with the Lord, or time at church to just have one more prime possession.
How much is our soul worth? You can’t put a price on it but you can sure ignore eternity while you are chasing the almighty dollar.
A good question to ask yourself before it is too late in life is; did I give up too much to have all this stuff? Did I lose a good family? Did it cost me my relationship with someone really important in my life?
There is nothing in this world worth losing your soul over. There is nothing in this world losing your family over.
