How Deep Is Your Faith
“And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:1, NKJV
In writing to the Christians in Corinth, Paul told them he wanted to speak to them in deeper terms concerning their Christianity but he could not because they were still “babes in Christ”.
That verse should cause us to ask ourselves; “How deep does my Christianity go?” Is my Christianity a surface Christianity or does my Christianity change my lifestyle and my life choices?
If our Christianity is a deep Christianity and changes my lifestyle and my life choices, I will no longer make choices like the rest of the carnal world no will continue to have a lifestyle that is like the rest of the carnal world.
Jesus didn’t want to just get you into church; He wanted to make such an impact on your life that you would no longer be like the rest of the world.
Do you find yourself still doing the things that the rest of the world does? Do you find yourself compromising Bible doctrines to get along or go along with the rest of the world?
Do you find your lifestyle or some of your life choices in conflict with scripture? The verse for today causes us to challenge ourselves concerning the depth of our Christianity. This is always good for us.
Be encouraged today in knowing that it is never too late to make changes in the depth of our Christianity. We should always be striving to let Christ have a deeper impact on our life.
