“And be not conformed to this world” Romans 12: 2, NKJV
We hear quite often the excuses of those who choose to rebel and riot against society. They blame the establishment, and say that they have been mistreated or wronged by society.
The truth of the matter is; we could all use that excuse if we wanted to. In some way, most of us have been wronged in some way at some point in time either by an individual, a group, a company or someone.
Are we going to let the wrong that has been done to us shape the rest of our lives? Are we going to let that wrong or that mistreatment define who we are and what we do for the rest of our life?
The answer to those two questions should be an emphatic no!
Our scripture for today reminds us that we are not to let this world conform us or define us or shape us. Whatever unfortunate things that have happened to us in the past must not determine our future.
Be encouraged today in knowing that every day is a new day and it is a day with choices and each new day is not determined by whatever has happened in the past.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. What you do today is your choice. Choose wisely.
