“Wars and Rumors of War”
“…You will hear of wars and rumors of war…” Matthew 24:6, NKJV
It has been 20 years since the bombing of the twin towers on September 11, 2001.
We have seen many changes in this world in which we live. We have used the word “virus” more times than we can remember.
Yet, in those 20 years, some things seem to never change. There is still political turmoil in our nation and in our world. There is still crime and even more crime. There are financial concerns as the numbers of homeless and jobless rise. I could go on with this the list of things that remain unchanged after 20 years but will not.
The biblical fact that remains the same as 20 years ago is the fact that the Bible says, “There will be wars and rumors of war”. Indeed there is and indeed, that biblical fact has not changed.
Most likely and with all certainty, we can say that the return of Jesus Christ to this earth is 20 years closer than it was on September 11, 2001 when the world changed for the worse.
Scripture is always truth and this verse is truth. Maybe even more so within the last two weeks.
Be ready for His return as it could be any day.
Pray for His return and the salvation of souls as we await His coming.
Never forget September 11, 2001 and never forget that Jesus Christ is coming again in power and Glory.
