A Reason To Be Happy
“……..Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Matthew 9:2, NKJV
Do we have to look for reasons to be happy these days?
Will more money make us happy? Will more possessions make us happy? Will a new car or a new home make us happy?
We cannot buy happiness. Many people have tried to do this but to only be disappointed that the happiness didn’t last very long.
There is so much sadness in the world these days that we can lose sight of our reasons for being happy regardless of what’s going on in the world around us.
Our scripture for today teaches us that we already have a reason to be of good cheer or what we might call happy.
Our sins have been forgiven. Think about that and think about all your sins and when you think that all those sins have been forgiven; that should bring a smile to you face and should put a song in your heart.
The wages of sin is death and we will never have to face death as a Christian because our sins are forgiven!
