Don’t Make This Mistake
“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” Psalm 66:18, KJV
Unconfessed sin is unforgiven sin and unforgiven sin is a problem for the Christian when it comes to prayer.
Our scripture for today warns us that if we regard (hold) iniquity (sin) in our heart, the Lord will not hear our prayer.
That is a pretty serious message for us from the word of God.
We need to connect the dots here. If there is a sin that we are holding onto, the Lord is not going to hear our prayer and that prayer will go unanswered.
If we feel like our prayer is unanswered, it would serve us well if we would look at ourselves and see if there is a sin that we are holding onto. That could be the problem.
Many times the problem is not with God or the request we have made but rather the problem is with us. We cannot hide anything from God, including our sin.
