The One On The Throne
“The Lord has established His throne in heaven. And His kingdom rules over all”. Psalm 103:19, NKJV
This current virus pandemic has shaken the world. Our nation is in a “shelter in place” mode. Many businesses are closed. Many people have either been temporarily laid off or have already lost their jobs. Some small businesses may not be able to reopen. Churches are closed from having their normal meetings together.
In the meantime, other tragedies and hardships continue as they were before the virus came along. Families continue to be heartbroken with the loss of loved ones. Within a timespan of a short ten days, our grandson unexpectedly passed away and then our pastor passed away after preaching his Easter message.
This nation, the world and all of us need to be reminded, in the midst of all of this chaos, that God is still on His throne. Satan would love for us to think otherwise, but he is a liar and there is no truth in him.
God could not be shouting any louder to our nation; “It is high time that you return unto me and let me be your God.”
As we walk through this uncharted territory for our nation and even on a personal level, we find that our faith, though tried, is even more precious to us than we ever imagined.
The scripture I’ve chosen for today, stands as a reminder to us all that God rules over everything, the good times and even the difficult and hard times. Nothing takes Him by surprise. Nothing is bigger than He is.
Be encouraged today, in knowing that regardless of what is happening around you or to you personally, God is still on His throne and He is in full control.
