A Day To Honor Our Veterans And Our God

“Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” Psalm 29:2, NKJV

If people will dishonor our Flag, Veterans, and the National Anthem, you can only imagine how they dishonor the Name of God.

The name of God is grossly taken in vain every day in our society. It has almost become fashionable to talk in that manner.

You will hear it in most movies, and in many shows on television. You will hear it in many normal conversations throughout the day. It has even become popular among many young people to talk using that kind of language.

Those who use that kind of language seem almost proud to talk that way showing neither remorse nor hesitation in taking the Lord’s name in vain. It is rebellion against the principles and the laws of God.

Our scripture for the day encourages all of us to give the name of the Lord proper respect, worship, and glory.

We can do that with our words or with our deeds every day. We honor His name when we do an act of kindness in His name seeking no glory or honor on our own behalf, but rather in His name and for Him glory.

We honor His name when we exalt Him with our words and refer to Him as the King of kings and the Lord of lords or when we refer to Him as the Most High God.

Give honor to our Veterans today for their sacrifice and service to our great nation.

Honor God’s name today with your words and your deed. Don’t worry if no one hears your words or sees your deeds. God will hear and see from heaven and will be greatly pleased with your honor.
