Leave It Alone
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” Says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6, NKJV
Have there been times in your life when you wondered; “How can I ever get through this?”
I think many of us can relate to that feeling when there may have been a certain situation in our life that was so difficult and painful that we wondered how we would get through it.
Our reaction to these impossible situations may be to just get through it on our own power, our own knowledge and by our own pure personal might. That’s the human response and many of us react just that way in the face of difficulties.
Our scripture for today encourages us to depend and use another kind of power. It is the Holy Spirit power. The Lord told Zechariah that he would get though his difficulty not by his own might or his own power, but by His (God’s) Spirit.
The Holy Spirit of God lives in the life of every born again believer and He resides within us to help us in those difficult times. It is our responsibility to rely on the Spirit and not on our own might, power, wisdom or strength in those difficult days.
We will have to make a conscious effort to reject the feeling of dealing with the problem on our own and to just let go and Let God work it out on His timetable and in His own way. It’s not easy to do but the outcome is outstanding!
Leave it alone!
