Comfort Someone Today
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NKJV
This verse reminds us of two great truths. One, it reminds us that our comfort comes from God, the Father. In our time of trouble and need, it is God who comforts us and helps us through the troubles of our life. We are blessed to have friends and family that comforts us during these difficult times but the healing of our wounded spirit comes from the God of all comfort, the heavenly Father.
The second great truth in this verse is the fact that we are to pass that comfort on to someone else that may be going through the same thing that God has brought us through. If you know someone is going through what you have been through, then you can honestly say, “I know how you feel”.
If you know how they feel and God has brought you through it, then you can be a great comfort to them. Pass it on. You may be their way to get through their trouble and their pain. As you are comforted and healed, don’t forget to pass it on.
