Don’t Squeeze Jesus Out

Don’t Squeeze Jesus Out

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7, NKJV

Do you have room for Jesus? Not a literal room; but do you have room for Jesus in your life?

On that first Christmas Eve night, there was no room in the inn at Bethlehem for the parents of Jesus. The city was crowded with people because Caesar Augustus’ order for everyone to return to their home town in order to be registered for taxation purposes.

So the question has a different application today. Is there room for Jesus in your life today?

Our life is crowded with shopping, cooking, working, family, and traveling. Ironically, we often get too busy for Christmas and there isn’t room for Jesus. With so much to do, we often miss the very holiday we are working so hard to enjoy.

Is there room for Jesus in your Christmas? Don’t let the “hustle and bustle” steal the joy that Christmas brings to you and your family. Christmas has become the biggest commercial time for the business world.

The commercialization of Christmas has given birth to the term, “Black Friday”. It is the day when all the Christmas sales become available.

This is a special time for the world. Don’t crowd Jesus out of your Christmas with all the “hustle and bustle” that the world has to offer.
