There Is A Reason We Call Them “Grand”

There is a reason you call your grandchildren “grand”. We are sure there is an official reason for this tradition. For us, we call our grandchildren “grand” simply because they are “Grand”, in every sense of the word.

Our oldest “GRAND” son, Brannon, went to be with the Lord on this date in 2020.

Brannon was “grand” in every way possible. He had a “grand” smile. His grand smile almost always turned into laughter. His “grand” smile revealed the real happiness that he had. Brannon had a “grand” mind. Brannon could design and build anything out of wood, metal, electronics; you name it and He could design it and build it. His grand mind was always thinking and always creating things that most of us never even think about. Brannon also had a “grand” heart. He loved to help others whenever he had the opportunity. He once said of his beloved rescue dog “Shadow”, “it’s the greatest thing to give a dog a second chance to life”.

Because Brannon had trusted Christ as his savior, he now has a “grand” life. A life so grand that the rest of us are waiting for our time to join him there forever and ever. When we all get to heaven, we will walk with him hand and hand down the golden streets having a grand time.

We call our grandchildren “grand” not because of some tradition but because they are truly “grand” and Brannon was truly “GRAND” in every way. Brannon, we will always miss you, will always love you, and every single day we will think of you and will remember how honored we truly were to call you “grand”.

Thank you to Kim, Kevin, Joey and Lara for giving us four “GRAND” sons!

Britt, Collin and Cade are  “GRAND” as well and we love you with all that we are!

Love Always,

Nana and Papa
