Just As You Are
“To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:6, NKJV
Rejection is difficult to deal with on any level. Every human being has an inward desire to be accepted by others.
In fact, often times we might try to change our personality to be accepted by others. We might even try to compromise our beliefs to be accepted by others.
We might buy clothes that we cannot really afford just to be accepted by others. Some people have gone to great lengths just to gain acceptance by others.
Our scripture for today reminds of the blessed fact that we accepted through the grace of God into the beloved; into the family of believers.
Accepted, not rejected but accepted; and accepted just as you are. Grace reminds us that it’s OK that we are not OK. We are not accepted because of who or what we are or what we have on or how much or how little we have.
We are accepted by His grace.
Be encouraged today in knowing that you are accepted by God regardless of what your life may look like right now.
There is nothing you have done that can separate you from God’s love or His grace. You can come to Him just as you are and He will love you and accept you.
