Something We All Need
“……..I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.” Psalm 52:8, NKJV
Today, let’s think a little about the mercy of the Lord. David said in our scripture that he will trust in the mercy of God forever.
It is tender mercy. With gentle, loving touch, He heals our broken heart.
It is great mercy. There is nothing little about God; His mercy is like Himself—it is infinite. You cannot measure it. His mercy is so great that it forgives great sins.
It is undeserved mercy, as indeed all true mercy must be. There was no right on the sinner’s part to the kind consideration of the Most High God.
It is abounding mercy. Millions have received it, yet far from its being exhausted; it is as fresh, as full, and as free as ever.
It is unfailing mercy. It will never leave you. If mercy is your friend, mercy will be with you in temptation to keep you from yielding to that temptation.
The mercy of God will bring you through the longest and darkest valleys you can imagine.
Be encouraged today in knowing that you, just like David, can trust in the mercy of God and that mercy will get you through any valley that you might find yourself in.
