What Is The Christian Life?
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20, NKJV
What is the Christian life? Is it just going to church? It is just some belief system? Is it just trying to do the right thing? It is just trying to live a certain way? Just what is this Christian life?
Number one; it is a decision that we must make. “I Am Crucified With Christ”. That is a decision that we make about our life. Being crucified with Christ means our old life is dead and we can never return to that old life.
Number two; it is a devotion that we must practice. “Christ Lives In Me”. That is something that we devote ourselves to doing every day as a Christian. Letting Christ live in us is essential to the Christian life. We cannot live out the Christian life own our own.
Number three; it is a dependency that we must accept. “I Live By Faith”. We must walk every day by faith, live every day by faith because there will be days when a lot of things in our life just does make sense to us.
The Christian life is much more than just believing certain things, living a certain way, and just going to church. It is much more complex than that.
We can live the Christian life effectively every day but not without applying this verse to our life.
