“I will praise You, For You have answered me….” Psalm 118:21, NKJV
The great hymn, “Count Your Many Blessings”, encourages us to count all our blessings and to be a grateful person.
As we approach Thanksgiving let us count our many blessings. Of course, there could never be enough room in these articles to count and name every blessing we have received from the Lord.
Allow me, then, to mention a few each day as we approach Thanksgiving Day. The ones that I will mention will be found in scripture.
The scripture for today would encourage us to be thankful unto God for all the times He has answered our prayers.
How many times has He answered our prayers? Well, we probably haven’t been keeping count. The Bible tells the Christian in 1 John 5:14-15 that God hears every prayer that we pray to Him. He also answers those prayers. Remember that “no” and “wait” are also the answers that He gives sometimes.
A “Yes” from God is not the only indication that God has answered our prayers.
Today, be thankful for all the times that God has answered your prayers EVEN if it was not the answer you were looking for. God always responds to your prayers with the answer that is best for you and the situation.
