What’s In Your Mouth?

What’s In Your Mouth?

“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1, NKJV

God hears every word that comes out of our mouth; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Have you ever said something and then regretted saying it? We have all been there at one time or another.

Our scripture for today encourages us to let praise for God be in our mouth at all times.

When we do that so many positive things will begin to happen. We will begin to think before we speak. We will begin to ask ourselves; “is this going to hurt anyone”, or “is this going to dishonor God in anyway”?

It seems almost stylish by some to see how much they can curse or take the Lord’s name in vain. There seems to be no shame in speaking like that anymore. Comedians make millions of dollars making people laugh using those kinds of words.

It is rare to be able to watch a movie that does not contain those words used multiple times throughout the movie.

What’s in your mouth?

Guard your tongue and guard the words you choose to use. Someone is always listening. It may be your child or someone else’s child that hears you. It will always be the Lord who hears you.
